I had been using PhotoBucket to host our images but I logged in to find these large ugly gray boxes instead. I can't believe it but they want $399 to reinstate the images. Nothing like going from free to paid with a price that screams, "No way!"
I am searching for a site that I can use to host the images. I haven't been successful so far. If you have a suggestion PLEASE comment below. In the meantime, we'll have to put up with the gray boxes for a few more weeks. SORRY!

First Parent Tech Night
Welcome to our first parent tech night!
I am very excited to have you all join us for our first parent tech night this year. The purpose of this tech night is to allow you and your child to explore some basic things that he/she has been doing in class as well as how to manage the basics of the iPad. It is my hope that by the end of the tech night you will feel more comfortable about the use of technology in our classroom. Additionally, I hope that you will leave tonight understanding how your child completes work in class and as homework and that you feel more comfortable working with your child to check his/her work each night.
In order to make this night fun and engaging for you and your child I have created a short interactive scavenger hunt for you to complete together. By the end of the scavenger hunt you should have a better understanding of what your child does in class each day. It is also my hope that you will leave tonight feeling more comfortable working with the iPad as a learning tool as well.
In order to complete the scavenger hunt there will be several steps you will need to complete in a specific order. The first can be found by scanning the QR code on your child's nametag.

Bienvenidos a nuestra primera noche de tecnología!
Estoy muy contenta de tenerlos aquí acompañándonos para nuestra primera noche de tecnología. El propósito de esta noche de tecnología es de permitirles a usted y a su hijo/a explorar algunas de las cosas básicas que han estado hacienda en clase. Al igual que enseñarles como manejar una iPad básica. Espero que para el termino de nuestra noche de tecnología, usted se sienta mas segura sobreel uso de la tecnología en nuestro salón. También, espero que cuando se vallan esta noche usted tenga un mejor entendimiento de como su hijo/a hace su trabajo en clase y sus tareas, y que se sienta segura al trabajar con su hijo/a cada noche al revisar su trabajo.
Para poder hacer este evento mas divertido y entretenido para usted y su hijo/a, he creado una corta búsqueda interactiva para que usted y su hijo/a hagan juntos. Al termino de esta búsqueda usted tendrá un mejor entendimiento de lo que su hijo/a hace en clase cada día. También espero que esta noche se vallan sintiéndose mas seguros para trabajar con ipads como una herramienta para aprender.
Para poder terminar la búsqueda habrá varios pasos que usted tendrá que hacer en una orden especifica. El primer paso será de barrer el código QR en el nombre de su hijo/a.
